You're here today contemplating therapy. This can be a stressful decision, so let me help answer some questions! Therapy can be an incredibly helpful tool to get you to where you want to be. It is my mission to work alongside you in your journey and to provide unconditional support. I take an interpersonal and trauma-informed approach to the counseling process. This means that I seek to honor the impact of relationships and experiences in your life. I want to work alongside you and maintain a collaborative approach. My desire is to provide an atmosphere that you feel safe and comfortable in and never judged. There is no better time than now to start your healing journey.
I am informed in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), person centered counseling, acceptance and commitment therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, solution focused brief therapy, and brainspotting (see below).
I am trained in Brainspotting which is a trauma tool that is highly effective. Dr. David Grand discovered this based off the idea that "where you look affects how you feel," and brainspotting is a tool to help you process traumatic events, reoccurring thoughts, and much more! This is helpful for anxiety, depression, compulsions, and trauma to any degree. Learn more here:
Faith Based Counseling
While in no way a requirement, I offer faith based counseling for both individuals and couples per request. I can approach any issue with a Christian lens when desired but am also able to provide a neutral perspective as well. It is my goal to provide an environment that you feel safe and comfortable in no matter what your religious views are.
